Joshua Van vs. Tatsuro Taira Flyweight Title Bout Moved to UFC 328
The highly anticipated UFC flyweight championship bout, featuring reigning titleholder Joshua Van and challenger Tatsuro Taira, has been officially rescheduled. Originally slated for UFC 327 on April 11 in Miami, the contest will now take place at UFC 328 on May 9 in New Jersey.
UFC 328 is set to be headlined by a captivating middleweight title fight between champion Khamzat Chimaev and former champion Sean Strickland in Newark.
The specific reason for this scheduling adjustment has not been publicly disclosed. However, the relatively swift transition from April to May indicates a positive development for the fight.
Joshua Van secured his championship belt in December, stepping up after then-champion Alexandre Pantoja was forced out due to injury. The upcoming clash against Taira will mark Van's inaugural defense of his newly acquired title.
