Si Woo Kim's Unique Players Championship Story Revealed by Presidents Cup Teammate
Si Woo Kim, heading into his fourth Presidents Cup, is expected to be a key player for the International Team against the favored Americans at Medinah. Kim holds a 6-5 record from his previous three appearances and is currently playing his best golf, having achieved 11 top-10 finishes in 2026.
Beyond his performance on the course, Kim also plays an important role in the team's atmosphere. Christiaan Bezuidenhout, who shared a team room with Kim in 2022 and 2024 and will be at Medinah, discussed his teammates on the GOLF Subpar podcast.
“He’s a beaut, man. Everyone on the team loves Si Woo. We call him Woo on the team,” Bezuidenhout told hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz. “He’s a great guy. He’s funny. He told us a story. When he won the Players, on Sunday on the back nine, he took two Advil PM and a Red Bull — on the back nine of the Players while in the lead. We have to always make sure we have Red Bull in our team cabin, in the bus, in the hotel. He loves a Red Bull. He’s one of a kind.”
